Analytical writing is a skill in which students learn to gather, evaluate and synthesise information, basing their arguments on evidence rather than personal opinion.  Mastering this skill will empower the student, not only in English, but in history, science and other disciplines, contributing to their overall academic success.

Mr L’s Non-Fiction Writing to Analyse Study Guide is an ideal tool for teaching Key Stage 3 students about this non-fiction style of writing for the first time, and for Key Stage 4 students revising for their GCSE English Language exam.
